Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This policy explains how Varican handles information when you create, manage, share, and publish a professional profile.
1. Overview
Varican is a professional profile and portfolio builder. Users can create an account, build a profile privately, share draft previews, and publish publicly when their plan allows it.
Public pages can be viewed without logging in. Account, builder, draft, billing, and publishing features may require account access.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- account details such as name, email address, phone number, and password hash;
- profile details such as display name, profession, headline, bio, location text, links, sections, highlights, images, media, and other profile content;
- draft sharing, publishing, subscription, and billing-related records;
- technical information such as IP address, browser information, login activity, and basic usage logs.
3. Profile content and visibility
Profiles are private while being built unless you choose to share a draft link or publish publicly.
A published public profile may be visible to anyone with the profile URL. Depending on your plan and settings, a public profile may also be available in platform search or search engine indexing.
Draft links are intended for private preview sharing, but anyone with an active draft link may be able to view that draft preview.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Subscription payments are processed through Paystack hosted checkout. Varican does not ask you to enter card details directly inside the profile builder.
We may store payment and subscription metadata needed to confirm your plan, manage access to paid features, and keep billing records.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage user accounts;
- save profile drafts, sections, media, and settings;
- support draft sharing and public profile publishing;
- manage subscriptions and plan permissions;
- protect accounts, investigate errors, and prevent misuse;
- improve the platform and user experience.
6. When information is shared
We do not sell user profile data. Information may be shared only when needed to operate the platform, process payments, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or provide features you choose to use.
Public profile content is shared according to your profile visibility and publishing settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user accounts and platform data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password and keep your login details private.
8. Your choices
You can update profile information from your account, keep your profile private, share a draft link, or publish your profile when your plan allows it.
You may request updates or removal of account information where applicable, subject to operational, legal, security, or billing record requirements.
